New Leaf Wellness is excited to offer this new treatment for migraine sufferers. The SPG60 Migraine relief is designed to provide immediate – and lasting – relief** from migraines, headaches and other atypical facial pain.
To get a full understanding of the treatment, you really need to schedule a complimentary consultation to discuss your symptoms and determine if this is a good fit for you.
Adults (over 18) or minors with full parental consent with migraine, headache, or atypical facial pain. Typically any front or side head pain qualifies. This treatment is not effective for occipital neuralgia (pain associated with the back of the head or base of the neck).
How does it work?
The device is simply a delivery tool for a small (0.3cc) amount of Marcaine to be applied onto your SPG (Sphenopalatine Ganglion) in order to numb that nerve group and stop the signal of the pain from reaching the brain. The procedure is non-invasive and painless.
How fast does it work?
60 seconds or less is the typical time from when a patient reports relief.
How long does it last?
The key to the treatment is repetitive treatments for the first 4 weeks. Ideally, you will get 12 treatments in 4 weeks to begin. Following that, the ganglion is trained to not be as receptive to pain signals. Most patients return every 3-4 months following that treatment for follow ups.
How many? How often?
Depends on your need. It can be done safely as often as needed to continue the pain-free results. Some patients report relief for up to 6 months without returning.
Does it hurt? Are there needles?
The procedure is painless. It is non-invasive and does not involve any recovery time. It is surprising to most people how simple it truly is.
Is it covered by insurance?
Most major providers do cover this treatment. We will place the claim for you. If you wish to check to see what your coverage would be from us, use the following information: ICD-9 Code – 784.0, CPT Code – 64505 (times 2!), New Leaf Wellness is an out-of-network registered provider for most major carriers.
Is it FDA approved?
This device is FDA listed as a Class I exempt device (the same category as elastic bandages).
Is it narcotic?
No, nothing in this treatment is narcotic and it will not affect your ability to drive, work, or live normally.

No therapy will be prescribed unless clinical need exists and is determined based on lab work, physician consultation and a complete and current medical history.
